Ohana Seafoods is locally owned and operated by Jeffrey Yee and has been in business since 1997. An experienced fisherman since 1975, Jeff has gone from off loading boats, supplying wholesale and retail markets with fresh seafood, to manufacturing marinated ready to cook fish.
The concept of marinated fish started when Jeff noticed that a lot of people loved to eat fish but didn't know how to prepare it. So, he tampered with the idea of having a product that people could pick up and cook at home, a product that would be convenient, taste good, and save time.
Ohana Seafoods has become well known for their fresh marinated butterfish, salmon, and saba prepared in a variety of their specialty sauces such as Teriyaki Miso, Korean Style, Black Bean, Miso, and Kasuzuke.
These ready to cook products can be purchased at COSTCO, Don Quiote (Daiei), 99 Ranch, various Foodlands, and craft fairs. (See our calendar of events for craft fair dates.
You can also find Ohana Seafoods' special Teri Miso, Korean Style, Black Bean and Miso marinades in 12 oz bottles. Look for them under the name Ohana Flavors. These special marinades can also be used with beef, chicken, pork, shellfish and stir fry vegetables. (See our recipe section.)
